2019 Honda Pilot Power & Performance

The Honda Pilot comes equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 that comes paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, however, drivers can opt for the 9-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters for a sportier performance. The engine features Direct Injection, which reduces fuel waste by providing the engine with only the fuel it needs. The Variable Cylinder Management adjusts the use of six cylinders to three during routine performance to improve efficiency. The engine in the Pilot is capable of producing an impressive 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque.

Passenger Comfort and Cabin Space

The 2019 Pilot SUV opens up with 152.9 cubic feet of cabin space for the eight passengers it can carry over three rows of seating. Passengers up front get 40.1 inches of headroom and 40.9 inches of legroom, while passengers in the middle row get 40.2 inches of headroom and 38.4 inches of legroom. Passengers in the third row get 38.9 inches of headroom and 21.9 inches of legroom. The second row includes the 60/40 split bench and the third row includes the 50/50 split bench—both can be folded partially or completely to make room for more cargo.

Features and Technology

This SUV includes the 5-inch display, which can be upgraded to the 8-inch high-resolution touchscreen, that’s used to select the ride’s entertainment. The vehicle includes a 7-speaker system that distributes audio from the radio, Bluetooth® paired phone, or the device connected through the USB port or auxiliary input.

The Honda Pilot also includes safety technology in the form of Honda Sensing®. These features use sensors on the exterior of the vehicle to measure speed and distance to help detect possible collisions or accidents. These features include Collision Mitigation Braking System™, Road Departure Mitigation System, Lane Keeping Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
