2022 Honda Accord: Technology
The Honda Accord stays up to speed with current technology and will offer drivers a standard 8-inch touchscreen that can connect to Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Both apps make driving more convenient, as they’ll assist you with making a phone call, finding directions, and more.
Both apps are available in a wireless format for even more ease of use, and there’s also an available wireless phone charger. As a standard feature, you’ll find two Smartphone/Audio USB ports in the front console. Upgrade to a higher trim level, and there will be USB charging ports in both the front console and second row.
The Accord goes on to offer various audio entertainment options, like available connections to SiriusXM® and HD Radio™. Available 8- and 10-speaker systems allow you to upgrade from the standard 4-speaker system to one that creates a cabin-wide listening experience.
2022 Honda Accord: Performance and Fuel Economy
The Accord offers great performance, especially in the fuel economy department. It gives you three gas engines and one hybrid engine to choose from, so you can select the one that has the most preferable power and fuel economy for your needs.
The standard 4-cylinder engine can produce up to 192 horsepower (HP) and 192 lb-ft of torque. It will be paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). This engine and transmission pairing will allow the Accord’s base trim level of LX to travel an EPA-estimated 30 city/38 highway MPG.1
For increased power, there are two turbocharged 4-cylinder engine options. The 1.5T engine generates the same power as the standard engine, while the 2.5T engine delivers up to 252 HP and 273 lb-ft of torque. They can be paired with either a CVT or a 10-speed automatic transmission. The EPA-estimated fuel economies for the Sport trim level are as follows:
- CVT: 29 city/35 highway MPG1
- 10-speed Automatic: 22 city/32 highway MPG1
Lastly, there is the hybrid engine. It will deliver a total system horsepower of 212 HP along with 129 lb-ft of torque. On the Hybrid trim level, you’ll see a great improvement in fuel economy at an EPA-estimated 48 city/47 highway MPG.1
2022 Honda Accord: Interior Amenities
Whether you’re heading into work or embarking on a long road trip, the Honda Accord is sure to keep you comfortable. The standard dual-zone automatic climate control system starts things off as you set your temperature preferences.
Then, the 12-way power driver’s seat will help you adjust to the right position. More seating preferences will be found in the available ventilated front seats to provide some cooling comfort on a hot summer’s day. Plus, you can upgrade to the available one-touch power moonroof for added coolness in both style and function.
If you won’t be the only one driving this Accord, consider an upgrade to the driver’s seat two-position memory system. You and one other person can put settings in place for your seat, and then a button can be pressed to move into that position.
